How to Interrogate Your Web Developer:
When you talk to one of the Media Heroes team we want to establish exactly what it is you want to achieve. We understand any business owner will do their research before committing to using a web developer. But how do you know you are asking the right questions?
Speak to prospective companies and see which companies can answer these questions in a language you understand.

Don’t view your website as a pretty picture, it’s a powerful tool allowing your business to reach out to a huge market. Many web developers are very good at providing a technical solution, but you need a business solution. Find a company that specialises in online marketing and web design, to make the most out of your website.
The quality of websites being built ranges vastly. Establish if your web developer is using clean optimised CSS techniques, and what internal auditing do they have in place? Will you get to approve your site and make changes as it is being built?
There are many companies offering free templates, these offer limited design options and will not be built around your company’s needs. Although the quality has improved in recent years they are not built in a way search engines can read the information, this means your site will never deliver the results you could achieve with investing in a custom coded web design.

Media Heroes know that the most important part of any project is the web site design brief. One of our web marketing consultants will sit down with you and establish your aims and aspirations are for your company.
1. Consultation: Web marketing
Meet with one of our web marketing consultants and we will explain the different options that would allow your business to achieve the results you are looking for.
Once we have agreed on a strategy, we can plan the navigation and what features you will require in the website.
2. Meet Your Web Developer
Once your brief is complete you will receive a call from your website developer, who will work alongside you and your web marketing consultant to build your website. Some clients like to call in and meet the team and you are welcome to do so.
Your developers aim is to get a clear understanding to ensure we have a distinct understanding of the images, style and colours you prefer. From this we can put together a home page design.
3. Homepage Approval
Once you are happy with your web page design concept your web designer will build you a home page based on what you have discussed with them and your web marketing consultant. You will be given the opportunity to give feedback and if there are any aspects of the design you wish to change.
Only once you are happy to signoff the homepage will your web developer begin work on building the rest of your site.
4. Website Build
The next phase is to custom code the rest of your website, your web developer will integrate your text, images and any functionality into the build
We can write all of the content for your site ourselves or you can provide us with your own content. You can send us your own images or supplier images, or we can source them for you from out image library.
5. Review & Feedback
Once the build is completed you will be asked to review every aspect of your site and provide feedback and suggestions for changes.
With your input we will discuss all the design elements and complete any changes necessary to complete your site.
6.Completion & Signoff
After your web developer has made all the requested changes to your satisfaction, you will sign off the website design, so the site can go live.
Once you are happy with all the finished design, you will be asked to sign off the website design and at this point your website will be put online.
7.Website and SEO standards
Your website will be checked against our stringent internal standards, this ensures every site we build is built of the highest quality.
We constantly research and develop our standards to be in line with industry best practices and webmaster guidelines to guarantee success in search engines.
8. SEO Strategy
Once our in house SEO team has passed your website, they will begin work on your SEO campaign to get your chosen keywords / areas onto page one.
You will receive regular progress reports, detailing the traffic increases and analysis of how people are interacting with your website. We will constantly evolve your campaign to maximise your ROI.
